Neither Evince nor gv are recommended PDF viewers for Scribus created
PDF's. See:
http://docs.scribus.net/index.php?lang=fr&page=pdfexport1 (French)
http://docs.scribus.net/index.php?lang=en&page=pdfexport1&subpage=1

There are a number of issues with Mandriva's packages which I and
others have filed bugs for:
See: http://qa.mandriva.com/buglist.cgi?quicksearch=scribus
You can try my packages for i586 for Mandriva 2007 here:
http://software.opensuse.org/download/home:/mrdocs/Mandriva_2007/repodata/
These should have all the missing dependencies as noted in:
http://qa.mandriva.com/show_bug.cgi?id=24032
These are snapshots of 1.3.3.10svn and will be updated with the latest
svn snapshot later tonight.
You will need to manually download them and rpm -Uvh
scribus-1.3.3.10svn-1586.rpm. You may also find there are missing
dependencies which can be installed via urpmi
Hope that helps.
Peter
