This might be a good compromise between having everything contained in 
the .sla file and having is scattered all over the working environment. 
  It avoids some of the frustrations of not being able to extract 
content from things like .p65 and .indd files for other projects.

Maybe the options to use relative or absolute paths could be implemented 
at the same time too ?
