We have had the occasional suggestion for something like this, where, 
for example, someone is doing a recurrent newsletter and wants to edit 
the text externally and not have to edit in Scribus. It still creates 
the issue of whether the space needed for what may be more or less text 
affects the layout.

As you gain more experience, you might consider scripting your document, 
which could manage this external file issue, and actually be more flexible.
