With the finalization of 1.4.0 stretching out into the indefinite
future, what is your guess on the availablity of 1.6 (the stable
version of 1.5). I have both 1.4.0 RC6 and 1.5.0 but Windows
users in particular may find installing 1.5.0 from svn a bit of a
challenge.

Alternatively, are there thoughts about releasing a Windows snapshot
of 1.5.0 at some point?

I ask this not just from idle curiosity. I am updating and
putting into print my e-book mentioned below. Indeed it will be a
complete rewrite. I would like to base it on 1.5.0 to avoid early
obsolescence of my book. If 1.5.0 or 1.6.0 will be available in a Windows
snapshot version by mid-2012 I can write the book using 1.5.0
examples. If not, not.
