[scribus] Template is adding blank space between pages

Windows install, v1.4.1:

I've set up a simple template that contains only the page size and 
margin properties, which is what I need for many of my pages which 
contain only svg images.

However, when I add a second page to a document saved with this simple 
template, there is a blank space equal to the length of a page following 
the first page, in between, before the second page appears.

Is there some way this can be corrected?
