FOR SURE, THEY ARE.
MISUNDERSTANDING ? THIS WAS NOT THE PROBLEM (having different locations on one PC).
THE PROBLEM WAS (and still is) THAT I WORK ON DIFFERENT PCs (at home, at office) OR PASS MY WORK TO A COLLEAGUE WORKING ON ANOTHER PC and those different PC don't (cannot) have the same data structure to access the pictures UNIQUE location (just that their path root differ).
Could it not be possible just to indicate via a setting (a kind of "document preference") that path root to Scribus ?
Tip: Scribus allows to collect them in one directory for you.
HOW ????

This is maybe not an option, if you use a large media database, like in catalog production.
No, in fact, I'm using just a file unique location, but HOW to indicate to SCRIBUS only once, its path and not to be constrained to "research" for each image that path, each time I'm changing from work location ?
Thanks for your help. TRAS

This sometimes happens for me when I change the computer where I work from and paths where images are located are different. I solve the problem by re "searching" paths WITH "extra" and "manage images". Heavy for you if so as it has to be done one per one...
