Hi Elaine,

please have a look at OCAL Helper: 
http://developer.berlios.de/projects/ocalhelper/

It seems it is currently only developed for Linux and Win32, but since 
it's written in Python, it might also run under OS X. If it doesn't, you 
can send a feature request to the author.

If you have downloaded the SVG + PNG OCAL version, you should be able to 
view at least the PNGs with any image viewer.
